Ed Sheeran siblings-English singer and songwriter, Ed Sheeran was born on February 17th, 1991 in Halifax, West Yorkshire in the United Kingdom.

He and his family relocated from Hebden Bridge to Framlingham in Suffolk in December 1995, where he attended the private Brandeston Hall preparatory school before transferring to Thomas Mills High School, also in Framlingham.

Matthew, his older brother, is a composer by profession. John and Imogen Sheeran are a couple from London. His father is from a “very huge” Catholic family, according to Sheeran, and his paternal grandparents are Irish.

Imogen is a former culture publicist turned jewelry designer, while John is an art curator and lecturer. From 1990 to 2010, his parents were in charge of the independent art consultancy Sheeran Lock.

Sheeran started singing in a community church choir when he was four years old, picked up the guitar at age eleven, and started songwriting while attending Thomas Mills High School in Framingham.

When he w as younger, he was a cello player as well. He was referred to be a “natural performer” in a 2004 school report, and his classmates selected him as the person “most likely to become famous.”

As a young man, he was admitted to the National Youth Theatre in London. In 2007, he joined Youth Music Theatre UK’s production of Frankenstein – A New Musical in Plymouth after a successful audition.

He supports Access to Music, where he studied Artist Development, and Youth Music Theatre UK, now known as British Youth Music Theatre.

Ed Sheeran career

Sheeran started penning songs when he was about eleven years old. Early in 2011, Sheeran independently released No. 5 Collaborations Project, an extended play. The following year, he signed with Asylum Records.

The UK Albums Chart was topped by Sheeran’s debut album, + (pronounced “plus”). It was published in September 2011. It included “The A Team,” his debut number-one song. Sheeran took home the Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act prizes at the 2012 Brit Awards.

When it was released in June 2014, Sheeran’s second studio album, (pronounce “multiply”), topped charts all over the world. It was ranked as 2015’s second-best-selling album globally.

The British Academy of Songwriters, Composers, and Authors presented him with the Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter of the Year in the same year that he won Album of the Year at the 2015 Brit Awards. He won the 2016 Grammy Awards for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance with the song “Thinking Out Loud” from the album.

Divide, Sheeran’s third album, was the best-selling record globally in 2017 when it was released in March. The album’s first two singles, “Shape of You” and “Castle of the Hill,” broke records by debuting at the top of the charts in a number of different nations.

In the same week, he made history by being the first musician to have two songs enter the US top 10. By breaking the record for the top 10 UK singles from one album in March 2017, Sheeran had amassed ten top 10 singles on the UK Singles Chart.

“Perfect,” his fourth single from, peaked at number one in the US, Australia, and the UK, where it spent 2017’s Christmas season there.

He was recognized as the World Recording Artist of the Year after having the most global sales in 2017. His fourth studio album No.6 Collaborations Project, which was released in 2019, debuted at the top of the charts in the majority of the world’s major markets and produced the UK’s No. 1 singles “I Don’t Care,” “Beautiful People,” and “Take Me Back to London.”

In most important markets in 2021, his fifth studio album, = (pronounce “equals”), was at the top of the charts. Sheeran is one of the best-selling musicians in the world, with more than 150 million records sold globally.

Two of his albums are included on the list of the best-selling albums in the history of the UK chart, and he has 101 million RIAA-certified units in the US. He received the most combined success in the UK album and singles charts in the 2010s, according to the Official Charts Company, which named him an artist of the decade in December 2019.

He was ranked as Spotify’s second-most streamed musician globally for the decade. His Tour, which began in March 2017, reached its peak in terms of earnings in August 2019.

Sheeran, a graduate of the National Youth Theatre in London, has had acting parts, including one in the upcoming movie Yesterday.
