Hendon Hooker Social Media: Born on January 13, 1998, Hendon Hooker, officially known as Alan Hendon Hooker is an American football player.

He developed a love for playing American football at a younger age. He has consistently risen through the ranks throughout his career to become one of the most sought-after American football players.

As of April 2023, Hendon Hooker is an American football quarterback for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League.

Coming out of high school, Hooker received numerous Power 5 offers. After visiting Virginia Tech’s campus, Hooker committed to them in 2016.

As a freshman in 2017, he competed with redshirt freshman Josh Jackson for the starting position at quarterback.

Hooker was named the starter in 2019 after their current quarterback Ryan Willis threw seven interceptions in four games.

During his career with Virginia Tech, he started 15 of 25 games, completing 197 of 312 passes for 2,894 yards, 22 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

In 2021, Hooker transferred to the University of Tennessee, and under head coach Josh Heupel, he entered the 2021 season as the backup to Joe Milton.

Milton suffered an injury against Pitt in the season’s second game. Hooker came into the game in relief and helped lead Tennessee to a close loss to the Panthers

Hooker played college football for Virginia Tech and Tennessee, where he was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Year in 2022.

At the time of this writing (April 2023), Hendon Hooker is an American football quarterback for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League.

The Lions drafted the young talented American football quarterback in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
