On February 16, 2022, in Jacksonville Beach, Jared Bridegan was shot and killed while he was driving with his 2-year-old daughter. He had stopped his car after encountering a tire blocking his path.

Henry Tenon, 61, was taken into custody on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, for several charges including planning a murder, committing second-degree murder with a weapon, and being an accessory after a capital crime.

He also faces a charge of child abuse as the 2-year-old daughter of the victim was in the car, directly exposed to harm during the fatal shooting. The police were able to trace and arrest him based on the identification of a Ford F-150 seen in the vicinity of the crime scene at the time of the shooting.

The authorities have obtained a court order to seal Tenon’s arrest warrant and affidavit for the next 30 days to maintain the integrity of the ongoing investigation. Bridegan was shot while driving home after dropping off twins she shares with her ex-wife, after encountering a tire deliberately placed in his path. Nothing was reported stolen from the scene.

Kirsten Bridegan, the widow of the victim, had previously shared with reporters her belief that the attack was a targeted one. She described her husband as a dedicated, loving, and fun-loving father who would do anything for his four children.
