Mislav Orsic began his career with the Trešnjevka and Kustošija before joining Inter Zapresic youth team at the age of 13 years. He was a prolific goal scorer at that young age. In the 2012–13 Prva HNL season he was the team’s top goalscorer with 12 goals.

In 2012 he joined Spezia Calcio in Italy where he went on a 9 games goal drought. He returned back to his home country to join Rijeka. He went on loan to Celje in Slovenia for the 2014/2015 season. He was then loaned again to Jeonnam Dragons in South Korea for the 2015/2016 season.
In the later part of the 2015/2016 se ason, Jeonnam signed him for €750,000. From 2016 to 2018, Orsic played in the Chinese Super League and the K League before returning back home to Dinamo Zagreb.

Oršić made his international debut on 9 September 2019 in a Euro 2020 qualifying match against Azerbaijan in Baku that ended in a 1–1 draw, coming on as a substitute for Ante Rebić in the 86th minute.

Orsic has been prominent in his international duty for Croatia. He was part of the 26-man squad for the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament. He is part of the Croatian 26-man squad for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
