He attended the William Penn Charter School through junior year, before proceeding with his family to Long Island, New York. Watters graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, with a Bachelor’s in history in 2001.

Rise to Fame

Watters rose to fame after he formed what later would be known as the R&B singing group Color Me Badd in high school along with fellow partners Kevin Thornton, Bryan Abrams, and Mark Calderon. The group was soon founded by Robert “Kool” Bell of the Gang fame and Kool. Bell introduced them to his managing team and the group was soon signed to Giant Records in 1990.

Watters is an American singer, record producer, songwriter, and record executive. He was a partner of the multi-platinum selling 1990s R&B group Color Me Badd and co-authored many of their hits including “I Adore Mi Amor”, and “All 4 Love”.

After Color Me Badd dissolved in 2000, Watters pursued a solo career as a singer and songwriter. He released two solo albums, “Love On the Brain” in 2002 and “Love Muzik” in 2005. He has even written songs for numerous other artists, including Fantasia, Kelly Clarkson, and Jordin Sparks.
