Tim Roth (born Timothy Simon Roth) is an English actor and director. His first role was in the television film Made in Britain in 1982. He got critical acclaim for his role as Myron in the film The Hit in 1984, which earned him a nomination for the BAFTA Award for Most Promising Newcomer.

He attended Croydon Technical School after switching from schools in Lambeth, due to bullying. He also attended the Strand School in Tulse Hill. As a young man, he aspired to be a sculptor and studied at London’s Camberwell College of Arts.

In 2015, he reunited with Tarantino in The Hateful Eight, playing Oswaldo Mobray/English Pete Hicox.
