Santiago Tomás Giménez born on 18 April 2001, is an Argentine-Mexican professional footballer who plays as a forward for Eredivisie club Feyenoord.

On 2 August 2017, he made his professional debut alongside Cruz Azul in a 1-1 draw against Tigres UANL in the Copa MX group stage. Two years later, on 28 August 2019, he made his La Liga MX debut against Tijuana but lost 3-2. On 2 February 2020, he scored his first goal for the club in a league match against Toluca in a 3–3 draw, scoring within the first two minutes of the match.

In August 2021, he scored goals in four league matches and was named Player of the Month. On 29 July 2022, Santiago Gimenez joined Feyenoord on a four-year deal. On 27 August, he scored his first goal for the club against FC Emmen, scored the second in the 4–0 win against FC Emmen, and also provided an assist for Jacob Rasmussen’s third.

On 8 September, he made his UEFA Europa League debut in this season’s group stage match against Italy’s Lazio, coming on as a substitute in the 64th minute and scoring twice in a 4–2 loss to Lazio.

On 3 November, he scored the lone goal in the second leg of the Europa League group stage against Lazio when he came on as a substitute, winning 1–0 to secure Feyenoord top of the group and qualifying directly for the round of 16. Feyenoord won the Eredivisie in 2022/23, while Santiago Giménez secured the league title with a second goal in a 3-0 win over Go Ahead Eagles with 15 goals in 30 games.

Despite having the option of representing Argentina, his country of birth, Santiago Giménez decided to represent Mexico, stating “I feel more Mexican than Argentine,” having lived in Mexico for the majority of his time since his father moved there. He has been called up by Mexico’s U-15, U-18, U-20, and U-23 teams. He made 3 appearances with the Mexico U16s at the 2016 International Dream Cup.

In September 2020, Santiago Gimenez was called up to the first team for the first time by Gerardo Martino for training camp. In the same month, it was reported that Fernando Batista, manager of the Argentina U20 national team, was interested in calling him up. In October 2022, Santiago Gimenez was named in the provisional 31-man squad for Mexico’s World Cup squad but failed to make it to the last 26.
